Dear Me國(미국),

Principle of Research - Card House Project

Let me explain what a "Card House Project" is.
I know Card House sound pretty childish and
doesn't sound like a Freshmen thing to do.
Well, in this project, we were able to build our hypothesis.
Also, test out the hypothesis that we built.

We pretended that the card house was an actual house to test out.
And the flour was the fake snow that we sifted on top of the "House".
Our Hypothesis was:
The thicker the card house wall, the more flour it can hold.

We had to test out five different thicknesses of the "walls"
And three different amounts of the "snow" to sift it.
After a few different ways of building a card house,
we found the best method to build the card house.
That was not complicated for us to build it 15 times.

And our hypothesis was proven correct.
As the thickness of the wall (thickness of the card) increased,
the amount of the snow (flour) that the card house can hold also increased.

When I started this project, I was kind of questioning
if this correlates with the things that we have to learn.
Like setting our hypothesis.
But after I was done with the project, and presented what we have found,
I was able to understand the intention of the teacher.

So today's 🌟KEY TERMS🌟 are
Hypothesis: a claim you make before you test your idea [가설]
Variable: any factor tha can be controlled, manipulated, or measured in an experiement [변수]
Independent Variable: the variable you manipulate [독립변수]
Dependent Variable: changes(maybe not) as result of manipulating
                                  the independent variable(changing variable) [종속변수]
