Dear Me國(미국),

 "A Month Review of Highschool"

이제 정확히 고등학교에 들어간지 한달이 되었다.

첫주는 교실찾고, 수업에 늦지 않도록, 정신없이 갔다.

둘째주는 첫주보다는 나아졌지만 아직 적응중이였다.

특히 공부를 어떻게 해야 할지 적응중이였다.

셋째주는 80퍼센트 적응완료, 조금씩 큰 과제들이 내 손에 쥐어졌다.

넷째주는 95퍼센트 적응완료, 학교 시스템이 어떻게 되는지

선생님들과도 많이 친해졌다. 당연히 친구들하고는 잘지냈다.

고등학교는 중학교와 많이 다르다.

중학교에서는 조금만해도 쉬웠다면, 고등학교는 

조금만해서는 안된다는 것을 한달 동안 깨달았다

(조금 더 일찍 깨달을 수는 없던걸까..?)

고등학교에 와서 보니, 수학이 재미있어졌다.

아마 조금 어려워도 이해만하면 쉬워져서 그런 것 같다.

하지만, 영어는 조금 어려운 것 같다. 

영어는 내 모국어가 아니니까 당연한 것 같지만,

당연하지 않도록 열심히 하고 있다.

그리고 원래도 중요하다는 것을 알고있었지만,

모르는게 있을때, 질문이 있을때는 꼭 이메일을 해야한다는 것이다.

보통 선생님들께서 늦은 시간이 아니라면, 

1-2시간 내로 답장해 주시기때문에, 나는 보통 집에오자마자

숙제 확인을 하고 질문이 있을때 바로 보낸다.

혹시 답장을 못해주셔서 숙제를 정확히 못했을때,

이유가 정확하고 선생님께서 납득하실만한이유라면

친절히 설명해주시고, 숙제 끝낼시간을 하루정도 연장해 주신다.

그리고 이번 한달간 느낀점은 어려운 수업의 선생님과 친해지는 것이 

매우 중요하다, 나 같은 경우는 영어가 어렵기에

수업 10분전에 들어가서 선생님과 짧은 대화,

그리고 질문이 있으면 질문을 하고 수업을 준비한다.

어려운 수업의 선생님만이 아니라, 복도에 지나가다

눈을 마주치는 선생님들께도 인사하고 되도록 선생님들과

잘지내는 것이 중요한 것 같다. 

 

"A Month Review of Highschool"

It has been exactly a month since I became a freshman.

The first week, I was very busy finding classes and trying to not be late.

The second week, also, very busy but better than the first week.

In the third week, I adapted about 80%, some big projects were on my hand.

Forth week, adapted to high school about 95%, got used to the

school's system, and became friendly to the teachers. 

Of course, I got along with my friends very well.

High school is very different from middle school.

If it was easy with just a little bit of work in middle school, 

In high school, I needed a month to realize that little isn't enough. 

 (Why could I have realized earlier..?)

After I became a high schooler, math became fun.

Maybe because when I understand the concept,

It is easy to solve questions.

But, I think English is a little bit hard.

It is very obvious that English is hard because it's not my first language.

So I am trying my best to not get obvious.

Also, I knew it was important that when I have trouble with 

Schoolwork, I should email the teacher. 

If it's not late, teachers usually answer me back within 1-2 hours.

So I usually check HW right after I come and email the teachers right away.

Perhaps the teacher did not email me back, so I wasn't able to 

Do my HW correctly, if the reason is reasonable, 

The teacher gives me explanations, and time to finish it.

Also, I thought getting to know difficult class' teachers was important.

For me, English is difficult, so I arrive 10 minutes

Earlier and have a small talk with the teacher and

Ask questions if I have one.

Not only the difficult classes' teachers, 

But also saying hi to teachers that you meet in the hallway,

And getting along with many teachers is very important.

"First Day as a Freshmen"

이번 학기는 영어, 수학, 성경, 체육을 듣는다.

1,2 교시 사이에 밴드 활동과,

마지막 교시에는 CTE라고 1학년들이

다 들어야하는 필수 과목이 있다.

첫 날에는 1학년 설명회, 그리고 전체 예배로

1교시 수업을 하지 않았다.

하지만, 첫교시 교실에 가서 준비물과, 

이 수업이 어떻게 진행되는지 설명을 들었다.

원래 1,2 교시 사이에 밴드가 있지만, 

이번주에는 밴드 연습이 없다고 했다.

아마도 첫주이기 때문에 그런것 같다.

2교시도 똑같이 준비물과, 

수업이 어떻게 진행되는지 설명해 주셨다

그리고 수업에는 1학년뿐만 아니라

2학년도 같이 있어서, 자기소개도 했다.

1,2교시가 끝나면 점심시간이다.

점심을 먹을 수 있는 곳은 카페테리아,

학교 앞 정원, 학교 가운데 있는 중간 정원에서

먹을 수가 있다고 했다.

그래서 점심시간이 시작되자마자

나는 친구들에게 카페테리아에서 보자고 메시지를 보냈다.

3,4 교시도 1,2교시와 같이 준비물이 무엇인지,

수업은 어떻게 진행되는지,

만약 시험을 빠지면 어떻게 다시 봐야하는지

설명을 해주시고 자기소개도 했다.

마지막교시가 끝나고 나니, 

긴장이 풀리면서 갑자기 너무 피곤해졌다.

그래도, 첫날에 큰 이벤트 없이, 

잘 간 것 같아서 너무 다행이였다.

시작이 좋았으니, 계속 쭉 좋으면 좋겠다.

"First Day as a Freshman"

For this semester, I am listening

English, math, Biblical Theology, P.E.

In between the first and second classes, we have band practice.

And my last class is CTE, which is mandatory for all freshman.

For the first day, we had a Freshman meeting and

Big chapel altogether. So we didn't do the first class.

But we still went to the first class and learned what

should we prepare and the syllabus.

We have band practice in between first and second class,

But we didn't have it for this week.

I think it is because of the first week of school.

And like the first class, in the second class,

we had a syllabus and what should we bring for this class.

Also, in this class, we had freshmen as well as sophomores.

So we introduced ourselves.

After the first and second classes, we have lunch.

We should only eat our lunch in the cafeteria,

front lawn, and the courtyard.

So when the lunch started, I texted my friend 

to come to the cafeteria to eat lunch together.

Same as first and second class, 

In the third and fourth classes, we had a syllabus and what to bring for the class.

Also, we learned how to make up for the test I couldn't take.

When school ended, I was very tired.

Probably because I was very nervous the whole day

and the fact that I have thrived through the first day,

that made me relaxed.

But the first day was very successful, 

so hope my freshman year goes well.

 "Already Freshmen?!"

나는 이번주 화요일부터 

Eastern Christian Highschool에 다니기 시작했다.

벌써 내가 고등학생이라는 것이

믿기지 않았지만, 또 고등학교에 간다니 설레기도 했다.

그 전날밤에는 '혹시 반을 잘못찾아가면 어떡하지?'

'혹시 내 락커 문이 잘 열리지않으면 어떡하지?'

등의 걱정을 많이 했다.

고등학생은 중학생보다 더 큰 책임을 가지고

학교 생활을 해야하기 때문에, 

조금 긴장을 하고 8월 31일에 학교에 갔다.

하지만, 다행히도,  내 락커문은 걱정과 달리

아주 잘열렸고, 너무 잘열려서 친구들이

락커를 좀 열어 달라고 부탁하기도 했다.

"Already Freshmen?!"

Since this Tuesday,

I became a student in Eastern Christian Highschool.

I couldn't believe that I was already a Highschool student,

at the same time, I was very excited too.

But the night before, I had so many concerns 

going through my mind.

'What if I go into the wrong class?'

'What if the locker doesn't open that I'll be late to the class?'

Because Highschooler has the title 

that has more responsibility than Middle schooler.

So I was nervous and went to school.

But, fortunately, my locker was opening very well,

And I wasn't lost in school and my friends

even asked me to help them to open the locker.

"Back in the States!"

이번주 일요일, 나는 다시 미국에 돌아왔다.

이번에는 나 혼자 인천공항에서 비행기를 타고,

미국 뉴욕 John F. Kennedy 공항에 도착했다.

도착하는 그날, 허리케인이 뉴욕 위를 지나가고 있었다.

그리고, 한국에서 출발 할 때도 비가 조금씩 내리고 있었다.

그래서 비행기가 자주 흔들렸다.

비행기에서 내려서 보니, 

이미 뉴욕에는 비가 많이 내리고 있었다.

그래도, 연착되지 않고 제시간에 내렸다.

비행기에서 내리고 바로 입국심사대로 갔다.

8월은 유학생들이 많이 입국하는 때여서,

F-1 비자를 가지고 있는 사람들을 위한 줄이 따로 마련되어 있었다.

하지만 그럼에도 불구하고, 매우 오래 기다렸다.

왜냐하면 입국심사대는 2-3곳 밖에 열려있지 않았고,

줄은 매우 길었기 때문이다. 그래도 입국심사에서는

빨리 끝내고, 짐을 찾았다. 입국심사가 끝나고 나서부터는

모든 일이 일사천리로 끝났다.

짐을 찾자마자, 홈스테이 아주머니와 아저씨를 바로 만나서

집으로 왔다. 집으로 오는 길에도 비가 아주 많이 왔다.

다행히, 내가 예상했던것보다 빨리 도착했다.

"Back in the States!"

This Sunday, I returned to America.

This time, I flew from Incheon International Airport 

to John F. Kennedy Airport by myself.

The day I arrived, a hurricane was passing over New York.

Also, it was raining little by little when we left Korea.

So there was a lot of turbulence within the flight.

When I got off the plane, 

It was already raining heavily in New York.

However, the plane wasn't delayed and got off on time.

I got off the plane and went straight to the customs.

August is the time when many international students enter the States,

So there was a separate line for people with F-1 visas.

Nevertheless, I waited a very long time.

Because only 2-3 custom booths (?) were open, 

but the line was very long. However, when I got to interview, 

I finished quickly and found my luggage. 

After custom was over everything ended in a flash.

 As soon as I got my luggage, I met my host parents right away.

 On our way home, it rained heavily.

 But fortunately, it arrived sooner than I expected.

 "Score Checker, Stella Kim"

저번주 목요일과 오늘은 우리학교 여자배구

홈게임에서 내가 점수를 전광판에 옮기는 역할을 했다.

우리 체육선생님께서, 혹시 scoring을 하고싶은

사람이있으면 학교 끝나고, 체육관으로 오라고했다.

그래서 요즘은 학교 끝나면 바로 집에 오는게

일상이 되었는데, 그 일상을 조금 바꿀 수 있을 것 같아서

학교 끝나고 체육관으로 갔다.

체육관으로 갔더니, 배구 코치님께서 

나에게 scoring 기계 다루는 법을 가르쳐주셨다.

기계를 다루는 법은 하나도 어렵지 않았다.

오른쪽 밑에 있는 H 와 V를 누르면 된다.

H는 HOUSE, V는 VISITOR 점수이다.

첫 세트는 너무 긴장되었다.

점수를 하나하나 누르면서, 사람들이 

나를 거쳐서 점수를 본다고하니, 더 긴장되었다.

그래도 옆에서 코치님들이 잘하고 있다고

칭찬 해 주셔서 게임 중반부에는 게임을

즐기면서 scoring을 했다.

내가 scoring을 한 이틀 모두, 

다 이겨서, 너무 재미있었다.

다음에는 경기에서도 정말 뛰고 싶지만,

또 이런기회가 생긴다면, 꼭 하고싶다.

Last Thursday and today were our 

school girls' volleyball home games.

In the home game, I played the role 

of transferring the score to the scoreboard.

So our PE teacher asked to our class that

anyone want to do scoring? 

And he said come to the gym after school.

So these days, coming home right after school

became a daily routine, but I think I can change it a little.

So after school, I went to the gym.

When I went to the gym, the volleyball coach

taught me how to handle the scoring machine.

How to handle the machine was not difficult at all.

Press H and V in the lower right corner.

H is the HOUSE, and V is the VISITOR score.

When I was scoring, I thought that 

many people will be looking at the score through me.

So I was very nervous at the first set.

But the coaches complimented me 

while I was scoring, 

so that made me to enjoy the game, too.

All two days I did scoring,

Our school won it all, so it was so much fun.

I really want to play in the game next season.

But also, if I have an opportunity like this, 

I definitely want to do it again.

 "My First Playday with My Friends"

오늘은 내가 제일 친한 친구들과 놀았다.

미국에 와서 제일 처음으로 사귄 친구들이다.

이 친구들과 예전부터,

"우리 한번 모여서 놀자!" 라고

계속 이야기 했었지만, 한번도 만난적은 없었다.

하지만, 2주전에 친구들과 이야기하다가

"우리 그러면 다다음주 금요일에

학교 끝나고 놀까?" 라는 이야기가 나와서

그 다다음주 금요일에 놀게 되었다.

학교가 끝난뒤, 한 친구의 어머니가

오셔서 우리들을 데리고 

우리가 놀기로한 장소로 갔다.

우리는 한인들이 많이 사는

Palisades Park에 가서 버블티도 먹고,

그 주변을 걷다가 

차를 타고 뉴욕 맨해튼이 보이는 공원으로

가서 사진도 찍고, 수다도 떨면서 놀았다.

 "My First Playday with My Friends"

Today I played with my best friends.

These are the first friends I made in America.

With these friends from the past,

We kept talked about playdays, but it never worked.

But, we were talking two weeks ago, 

and one of my friend said,

"Should we have playday 

next next week friday after school?"

So we made plan for the playday.

Then I went to play on the next Friday.

After school, a friend's mother

Come and take us

and went to the place where we decided to play.

We went to Palisades Park where many Koreans live,

and where we planned to play.

We bought bubble tea for ourselves and

drove to the park where we can see Manhattan, New York.

We took some pictures and chatted.

Dear Me國(미국),

Happy Resurrection Day!

오늘은 부활절이다.

우리 크리스천들에게는 매우 기쁜 주일이다.

예수님께서 십자가에 못밖혀 돌아가셨다가

3일 만에 부활을 축하하는 주일이다.

그래서 오늘은 6개월만에 

온라인예배가 아닌 

진짜 교회에 가서 예배를 드렸다.

이렇게 오랜만에 교회에서

많은 사람들과 찬양하고 설교를 들으니

기분도 좋고, 정말 부활절을

축하하는 기분이 들어서 정말 감사했다.

이렇게 예수님이 우리죄를 대신 

돌아가신것을 감사하면서

주의 영광을 위해 살아야겠다!

Happy Resurrection Day!

Today is Easter.

It is a very happy Sunday for our Christians.

Jesus died on the cross

It is a Sunday to celebrate the resurrection in 3 days.

So today in 6 months,

I went to a real church and worshiped.

After all the online service.

After a long time in church

Praising and listening to sermons with so many people

I felt good and I was so grateful that I could celebrate easter

with many other people.

Jesus died for our sins, 

and defeated sin after 3 days!

I must live for the glory of the Lord!

Spring Break!!!!

오늘은 봄방학 넷째날이다.

봄방학이 일주일 밖에 되지 않지만,

이번 봄방학은 알차게 써볼 게획이다.

3월에 자주 들어오지 않았던 블로그도 

다시 쓰기 시작하고, 이번 여름에 볼 

TOEFL도 공부하고, 고 2때 볼 PSAT도

공부할 것이다.

그리고 오래 공부하지 않았던

중국어도 틈틈이 공부할 것 이다.

마지막으로는 고등학교 영어에서 공부할 

셰익스피어 책 2권을 읽어 볼 것이다.

이번 봄방학이 짧지만,

최대한 효율 적으로 

사용해 볼 것이다.

Spring Break!!!!

Today is the fourth day of spring break. Although spring break is only a week, I will be using time efficiently. Even a blog that didn't come in often in March,

start writing again, and study

TOEFL that I am going to take this summer.

And PSAT that I will be taking in Sophomore.

I will study Chinese in my spare time.

Which I haven't studied for a long time.

I will read two Shakespeare books.

That I will be studying next year. Although this spring break is short, I will use this break

as efficiently as possible.

PART #2

이렇게 주요과목을

고급과정으로 들을 수 있게 되어서

너무 감사하고, 더 열심히 해야겠다.

그리고 남은 3가지의 과목,

선택 과목 2개와 SOAR이다.

선택과목으로는 스페인어와 글쓰기반에 들어갔다.

내가 글쓰기가 다른친구들에 비해 많이 부족해서

Tr. Eunice께서 선택해주신 반이다.

내년에 글쓰기 반에서 글쓰기를 연습하면서

실력이 향상 되면 너무 좋을 것 같다.

SOAR은 우리학교에만 있는 과목이라고 했다.

선택의 폭이 매우 넓었는데

그중에서 Concert Band를 선택 했다.

Concert Band에서는 플룻을 하기로 했다.

진짜 수업까지 정하고 나니까, 

Open House때 보다도 더

고등학교에 가까워 진 것 같다.

I am so grateful, that I can take the

major subject accelerated.

And now, I should work harder.

And the remaining 3 subjects. There are two elective courses and SOAR. As an elective course, I choose Spanish and writing class.

I’m not good at writing compared to other friends, so Tr. Eunice helped me choosing this.

(who knows how I write) While practicing writing in the writing class next year, It would be great if my skills improved.

SOAR is a subject that is only available in our school. There were so many choices Among them, I chose the Concert Band. At the Concert Band, I decided to play the flute.

After I have decided on the real class, Even more than at the Open House I think I'm getting closer to high school.

"Highschool Course Meeting"

3월 37일 오전7:15,

Mrs. Schwab과 

고등학교 Course Meeting이 있는 날이다.

이 회의는 한국에 게신 Tr. Eunice께서 도와 주셨다.

그래서 한국시차와 이곳 시차에 맞추어서

우리는 아침, 한국은 저녁시간때에 미팅을 했다. 

이 미팅은 내 중학교 성적을 바탕으로

내가 고등학교에서 들을 수업을 고르는 미팅이였다.

과목은, 영어, 사회, 과학, 수학, 체육, 성경, 

CTE, 선택과목 2가지로 이루어져 있다.

성경은 기독학교이기 때문에 필수과목이고,

CTE는 고등학교 1학년 학생들이 듣는 진로 과목이다. 

영어, 사회, 과학, 수학은 주요 과목이여서

단계가 나누어져 있다. 

기초, 중급, 고급으로 나누어져있다.

나와 Tr. Eunice, 그리고 부모님 모두 다

영어, 사회, 과학은 중급과정으로

수학은 고급과정으로 생각하고 있었지만,

이번 중학교 성적이 잘 나와서 중학교 선생님들께서

모두 다 고급과정으로 추천서를 써주셨다!

"Highschool Course Meeting"

March 37 at 7:15 a.m., It is the day of the high school course

meeting with Mrs. Schwab and Tr. Eunice.

So, according to the Korean time difference and the time difference here, We had a meeting in the morning and in the evening in Korea. This meeting is based on my middle school grades It was a meeting for me to choose a class to take in high school. Subjects are English, social studies, science,

mathematics, physical education, the Bible, It consists of CTE and two elective courses. The Bible is a mandatory subject because it is a Christian school, CTE is a career course for all freshmen students. English, social studies, science, and mathematics are major subjects. The steps are divided. It is divided into regular, academic, and accelerated. Me and Tr. Eunice and both of my parents thought English, social studies, and science are advanced courses.

I was thinking of mathematics as an accelerated course, The middle school grades came out well,

so the middle school teachers wrote my recommendations as all of them are accelerated courses!

"High School Open House"

이번 3월은 고등학교과 한걸음 더 가까워진 것 같다.

3월 4일에는 고등학교 Open House가 있었다.

고등학교 Open House는, 고등학교 건물도 둘러보고

어떤 수업이 있는지, 수업에서는 무엇을 하는지

알아보는 것이다.

원래는 부모님과 함께 둘러보지만,

 

나는 지금 이곳에 혼자 있기때문에,

친구와 친구 어머니와 함께 둘러보았다.

제일 처음에는 시청각실에서 시작했다.

시청각실에서는 학교의 역사와, 

학교가 중요케 생각하는 핵심 가치를 소개해주었다.

그 다음으로는 과학, 수학, 영어, 

Collage and Career, Leadership Team을 소개 받았다.

Open House가 끝나고 나니, 

내가 미국에서 8학년 생활을 한지 벌써 7개월이

넘었다는 것을 몸소 실감하게 되었다.

 

보고 나니, 너무 기대되기도 하지만, 

한편으로는 중학교와 많이 다른 것 같아서

조금 무섭기도 했다.

그래도 나는 열심히 내 목표을 향해 달려갈 것이다.

"High School Open House"

I came to realize that the time passed by so quick.

 "학교에서 썰매를...????"

오늘은 학교에서 눈썰매를 탔다.

원래는 저번에 눈이 많이 왔을때부터

친구들은 눈에서 놀았는데, 

나는 스노우부츠가 아직 도착을 안해서

오늘부터 놀았다.

친구들하고 뒤에 운동장에 있는

조그마한 언덕에서 썰매를 탔다.

지금은 코로나 때문에 할 수 있는 게

많이 없는데, 이렇게 소소하게

쉬는 시간마다 나가서 노니까 

너무 신나고 재미있었다.

이번주 금요일쯤에 눈이 또 온다고 했는데

너무 기대 된다!

"Riding Sled in School...????"

Today I rode a snow sled at school.

Originally, from the last time, it snowed a lot.

My friends played in the snow,

but my snow boots arrived late. 

So I played today!

In our upper field, 

there is a small hill, so we rode 

snow sled at the small hill.

There aren't many things that I can do

because of COVID 19,

but there are small ways to have fun!

Because I go out and play every recess.

It was so exciting and fun.

The weather forecast said

it will be snowing again this Friday

 "언택트 시대의 설"

2월 12일은 한국의 음력 설이다.

원래는 가족 다 같이 모여서 맛있는 음식도 먹고,

새해 덕담도 나누는 좋은 시간이다.

하지만 이번 2021년 음력 설은 

코로나가 겹치고, 나는 한국에 있지 않았기에

화상미팅 플랫폼인 줌으로 가족 모임을 했다.

한국에 있는 할아버지, 할머니, 큰이모네,

그리고 우리가족과 호주에 있는

작은이모네와 함께 줌으로 통화했다.

오랜만에 보는 사촌동생들이

너무 반갑고 빨리 다같이 모일 수 있으면

너무 좋을 것 같다.

"Un-tact life's Lunar New Years"

February 12 is the Lunar New Year in Korea.

Originally, the whole family gathered together to 

eat delicious food and 

it's a good time to share the New Year's blessings.

However, this 2021 Lunar New Year,

COVID 19 overlapped and I wasn't in Korea,

we had a family gathering with Zoom, 

which is a video meeting platform.

My grandparents, my Big Aunt, and my family in Korea.

And my Little Aunt's family in Austraila. 

I did a Zoom meeting with them.

The cousins ​​I see after a long time, it was so nice.

I really want COVID 19 to get better

and meet everyone all together.

 "OMG Another Level's Snow!!"

이번 3일 동안 눈이 정말 많이 왔다!

내가 본 눈 중에 가장 많은 눈이 였다.

너무 많이 와서 Snow Day를 이틀이나 했다!

3일 내내 눈이 계속 왔다.

처음에는 하루하고 그칠줄 알았는데

두번째날에도 와서 "에이.. 오늘은 그치겠지!"

하지만, 삼일째에도 완전 많이 왔다.

그래서 예정에 없던 

Snow day가 하루에서 이틀로 늘어났다!!

그리고 삼일째에는 스키복을 입고

밖에 나가서 눈사람도 만들고

눈밭에 뒹굴었다.

삽으로 계속 파도 진짜 땅이 보이기까지

엄청 오래걸렸다.

그래도 내가 바라던대로 눈도 오고

Snow Day도 해서 기분이 정말 좋았다!!

"OMG Another Level's Snow!!"

It snowed so much during these 3 days!

It was the most snow I saw.

There was too much snow, 

so we had Snow Day for two days!

It kept snowing all three days.

At first, I thought it would stop after a day,

and came on the second day and thought, 

"Ah... it will stop today!"

However, even on the third day, a lot came.

So unscheduled snow day was here!

And on the third day, I wore a ski suit.

And went out and made a snowman

and roll in the snow.

I keep shoveled until I was able to see the real land,

it took a long time.

But it snows as I hoped.

It was a Snow Day and, I felt perfect!!

“팟캐스트?!”

 

오늘은 내가 자주 듣고 있는

팟캐스트를 소개하려고 한다.

우선 팟캐스트는 오래전부터는 아니지만,

예전부터 사람들이 듣고 있던 것이다.

 

그래서 나도 예전에 들어 보기는 했지만,

시간을 내서 들어본 것은 이번이 처음이다.

 

‘팟캐스트’라는 단어는 애플사가

제일 처음으로 만들었다고 한다.

애플의 아이팟(ipod)과

방송이라는 뜻의 영어단어 Broadcast를

합쳐서 만든 합성어이다.

 

내가 팟캐스트를 듣게 된 계기는

학교 성경시간에, 묵상의 방법에 대해서

이야기할 때, 많은 친구들이

크리스찬 팟캐스트를 듣는다고 했기 때문이다.

 

그래서 나도 팟캐스트를 들어보니,

시간이 부담스럽게 길지도 않고,

시간을 효율적으로 쓰는 기분이 들어서

3달 정도 전부터 듣게 되었다.

 

나는 내 핸드폰에 있는 애플 팟캐스트 앱으로 사용하여

“Morning Mindset Daily Christian Devotion”이라는

프로그램을 듣는다.

 

보통은 6분이거나 어쩌다 한번씩은

12분에서 15분 길이이다.

그래서 부담스러운 길이도 아니고

효율적으로 그리고 무엇보다 중요한

매일매일 묵상을 까먹지 않을 수 있어서

정말 좋은 것 같다.

 

 

“Podcast?!”

 

Today I want to introduce a podcast.

First of all, podcasts haven't been around for a long time,

People have been listening to it since before.

 

So, I have seen it before,

But this is the first time I have taken the time to listen.

 

The word “podcast” is made by Apple.

Apple’s iPod and the English word broadcast,

It is a compound word made by combining.

 

What made me listen to the podcast,

Is in school Bible class, many ways to have devotions.

When talking with many friends,

they said they listen to Christian podcasts.

 

So I tried to listen to Christian podcasts.

The time is not too long,

I feel like I’m spending my time productively.

I heard it about 3 months ago.

 

I use it as an Apple Podcast app on my phone.

Called “Morning Mindset Daily Christian Devotion”

 

Usually, it's 6 minutes or somehow

It is 12 to 15 minutes long.

So it’s not that long to feel too much.

Make me feel like I am starting a day in a productive way

and most importantly

I don’t forget to do a devotion every day.

It seems really good.

"Christmas!!"

2020년의 크리스마스는

내가 뉴저지에서 처음 보내는 크리스마스 이다.

뉴저지에서 보내는 첫 크리스마스여서 

기대가 무척 되었다.

크리스마스아침에 선물을 푸는 것이지만,

우리는 크리스마스 이브에 먼저

선물을 풀고, 크리스마스는 온전히

예수님의 탄생을 축하하면서 보냈다.

이번에는 코로나때문에, 사람들이 

많이 모이지 못했다고 호스트맘께서 알려주셨다. 

코로나가 우리의 삶을 많이 바꿔놓았다.

여기서 처음 맞는 크리스마스라, 

더욱 더 신나고 감사한 크리스마스였던 것 같다.

"말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 

우리가 그의 영광을 보니 아버지의 독생자의 영광이요 

은혜와 진리가 충만하더라"

Christmas in 2020

This is my first Christmas in New Jersey.

It’s my first Christmas in New Jersey, 

so I was very excited.

Usually, it’s like opening a gift on Christmas morning,

but we did it kind of differently.

First on Christmas Eve

Unpack the gift, and Christmas is completely

I spent celebrating the birth of Jesus.

This time because of the COVID 19,

The host mom told me that there was not much gathering.

COVID 19 has changed our lives a lot.

It’s the first Christmas here,

I think it was an even more exciting and grateful Christmas.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. 

We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, 

who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
