63 Building

Last Saturday, my dad took us to 63 Building in Seoul.
This is my 3rd time going, but my 1st time exploring all the museums in it.

We went to the aquarium first.
My favorite sea animal is penguin and there
are lots of penguins!!
Justin likes NEMO (Clownfish)
and he was so happy to see it! :)

The second place we went to was the sky tower.
It was my first time going up, but I was not nervous!~~
We got to see Seoul during the day time.
It wasn't cloudy, so we were able to see Seoul very clearly!!!

The third place was Wax Museum.
I saw a lot of famous people there,
like Mozart, Beethoven, Michael Jordan, and Korean presidents!!!
Of course there are NOT real!
They are made of wax!

I liked Van Gogh the best because of his famous paintings!
I like 'Sunflowers' and 'Starry Night' the BEST!!!

Then, I made a heart-candle wax figure.
It was a great experience!
My dad and Justin didn't do it, only I did!
This is how it looks like~

I had a fantastic time with my dad and brother!!
Thank you daddy!!
I LOVE YOU!!! <3

First Time Baking Muffins with My Brother

My brother, Justin and I did something together
for the 1st time!!

What is it?!?!?!

We baked muffins for the first time!!!! :)

I was reading a book and Justin suddenly opened the door
and said, "Sister!!! I want to make muffins!!!"

Justin told me that he wanted to make muffins (?!?!).
I don't know why he wanted to make it, but
I thought Justin learned about muffins in preschool.

So, I went to my mom and told her about Justin's idea.
My mom happily said, "Okay! We will make muffins!"

When Justin heard my mom...
he SCREAMED so loud it hurt my ears!!!

Justin yelled, "Yeah~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We made pecan muffins and it was easy to make! :)
Justin and I made EVERYTHING
and mom just helped with the oven.

The muffins came out delicious and MORE delicious
because we made it!

Since we were very clean^^,
my mom said we could make it again!!

It was very good experience with my brother for the 1st time!

<3 Justin and his muffin! :)

My VIP Moment with WKBL (Women's Korea Basketball League)

On Monday, my basketball team (little league) supported INCHEON'S WKBL (Women's Korea Basketball League).

It was Incheon Shinhan (S-Birds) against Cheong-ju KB (STARS) and the winner was...

Incheon Shinhan!!!
Congratulations!!!

My team was really excited because it was our first time!
We sang the national anthem and also gave the S-Birds
super-big high five!!!

After we finished our events,
we sat on the FRONT...VIP seats!!!
It was so cool because you can see everything
and all the basketball players!
(The ball didn't hit me, but I caught the ball and passed it to the player! "AWESOME!")

My favorite events were when our team gave high-5 to the players and the laser show! There were so much energy and excitement! I want to join this event again!

Incheon Shinhan "S-Birds"
You are AWESOME!!

My team singing the national anthem

                                                                    The laser show

My Chinese Story #1

Thank you everyone for your prayers, love, and support!
Thanks to God, family, and friends
I came to Korea safely.

As you know, I went to China last week and stayed for one week.
I am very healthy and my condition is GREAT!!! :)
Thank you Tr, Kathy for taking care of me and my parents for helping me.

                                                                       In Dandong

CHINA is a very big country with a lot of people.
Whenever I rode the bus, I NEVER had a seat!!!
WHY?
There were so many people!!!

Another thing that I saw was there were NOT a lot of churches.
There were lots of temples, but I didn't go in there.

In Korea, English is a very popular language, but where I went,
people DID NOT speak English!!! WOW~~~
Some Chinese-Koreans spoke Korean, but NOT...
ENGLISH!!!
So it was a little hard for me...

                                                     Chinese Elementary School

I am meeting Chinese friends (Tr. Eunice's smelly sticker :) !!!)

I have been studying Chinese for a year and a half,
but I was still worried because of Chinese tone marks.
Well, I still spoke Chinese in the store, bus, taxi, school, and Chinese elementary students!:)
I feel that I need to study MORE and MORE
CHINESE!! I can do it!! Next time, I will be the BEST!

We took the subway, ITX train, van, ferry
to go all the way to Nami Island!!!
It was a long trip, but it was very fun!

It was my first time to go to Nami Island
and my first music video! So I was really excited!~

Our team did a great job!
It was not easy to make a music video,
but we worked as a TEAM!
The most important thing is that our team PRAISE GOD!

I hope this music video will bring happiness
and hope to all the children in the world!

My FIRST Mission

In American age, I am 8 years old.
In Korean age, I'm 9.
This means, I am still a child.
I need my parents, a house, money, someone to cook,
someone to teach me, and someone to take care of me.

Many children, like me,
need someone to take care of them and love them.
But, poor children can't have it all.
This is why I am doing mission.
I need to share with other children because God will be happy.

So, in November, I will go to China for children mission.
In this mission, I will help children in orphanages and
give them my love and time.
I will take the ship to go to China and come back riding the ship again.
Please pray for the children in China and for me!

As the youngest ambassador in Ivy Global Mission,
I will do my best to serve and love the children in China.

The Greatest Prize in the World

In this world, there are many prizes!

You can get Olympic medals, Asian Game medals, school awards, certificates, and many more!

But I think the GREATEST prize is Nobel Peace Prize.
This prize is important because it only gives awards to GREAT people, who help the world.

On October 10th, a 17 year-old Pakistani girl named Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize.
She is the youngest person to receive this prize.
Malala got this prize because she was very brave and helped many girls to get freedom!

I want to help poor children and be very brave like Malala.

That's why I study 3 languages: Korean, English, and Chinese. If I know many languages, I can help many people in the world. So I studied very well and will study more!

Well, for my Chinese HSK test, I PASSED level 2!!!

I want to give thanks to my Chinese teacher, mom and dad for helping me.

Everyone! Stay happy and healthy!

Family Camping in Gyeong-Ju

My family went camping for the first time with Justin.
We went to Gyeong-sang Buk-do, Gyeong-Ju.

I woke up 5 am, my parents at 4 am,
and Justin finally woke up at 8 am.

From Incheon, it takes 4 hours,
so we had to leave early.
There was no traffic, so I felt good!
But when I went to Gyeong-Ju, I was tired.

First, we went to Gyeong-Ju National Museum.
There was a big bell and it was for Queen Sun-Duck during Shilla Dynasty.

Second, we went to our campground-glamping.
I really loved it because it was nice and clean.
It was my first time glamping.

Third, we went to the palace-Anapji.
It was pretty because it had a pond, small island with a tree (about 100 years old), and a nice bookshop.
At night, the palace had many lights on, so it was beautiful. We could also go into the palace, so it was very special!

Finally, the last place was Yangdong Village.
This village has NO apartments!
People have last names of Sohn and Lee,
so I can't be there because I am KIM!

My family stayed at Gyeong-Ju for 2 nights and 3 days.
The first night, it was glamping and the second night, Shilla Family Hotel.

Gyeong-Ju gave me many wonderful memories
and I will not forget.

Thank you Gyeong-Ju!

Team Genesis New Place

Our team Genesis practiced our dance in IGM.
But! We had NO mirrors, so it was harder to dance
because we couldn't see our bodies and how we danced!

So after two months, we finally moved to a new place!!
YEAH!!!
And...that place has a lot of mirrors!!!
Now we can see our dance moves.

For us as dancers, it is very important to practice dancing,
but we need to know how we are doing as a team!

In the beginning, I thought mirrors were not important
because I can look at the dance teacher.
But after one month, I thought mirrors are important
when I practice.

At home, I practice my dance and I look at my mirror
in my study room. I feel great because I look awesome!

In the Studio...

Today I was in E3 Studio.
Why?!?!
I recorded my first session!
I was very NERVOUS because it was my first time
speaking in front of the camera!!

I talked about my future dream as a CNN anchor.
I was nervous, but it was a very FUN time!
It was fun because I liked the mic. in front of me!
It felt like I was in a dream~

The real CNN studio will be very big, more microphones, cameras, speakers, and lots of people working.
So, I need to practice very hard and get ready.

I hope you enjoy my video clip!
Thank you very much!

The size of the studio is small, but...
DREAM IS BIG!

My first studio is called E3 Studio
and this is where I will begin my DREAM!

you will be surprised!!! ;)

Family Trip to Gang-Myeong Ga-Hak Cave

On July 29th, my family went to Gang-Myeong Ga-Hak Cave.
We went there because my dad wanted us to see the beautiful nature
and learn about Korean history.

I really liked the cool cave because it was so hot outside!
My family didn't go outside because it felt so good inside the cave!
But I was so surprised because it was an artificial cave!!

I also learned about Korean history and its sadness.
When the Japanese people came to Korea, they made Koreans work
in the mountains or protect the Japanese soldiers.
If the Koreans didn't work, they had to go to prison.

I also saw a laser show and it was very fun
because the suit was LED and it was dancing!

I had so much fun, but sad too.
I wish Koreans will be happy and never be sad again!

"I'm a CHOPSTICK?!?!?!?!?!"

After school, I was walking to go home.
Suddenly, three boys were behind me and said, "You are a chopstick!"

I heard them and I felt very angry!

I said, "I am a chopstick? OMG!"

I was holding my shoe bag, so I started to swing the bag to the back...

SWING #1!!!

SWING #2!!!

SWING #3!!!   ...and the 3 boys got HIT!!! (HA~HA~HA~~)

Suddenly, one of the boy said, "YOU need to be in the JUNGLE~!!!"

(OH-UH-HUH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~)

So I said, "I don't need to be in the jungle!"

But all the boy said, "You NEED to be in the jungle!"

(...my mom was hiding behind the tree when the boys said that!)

My mom came out of the three and said, "Don't bother her!"

...The boys SCREAMED "AHHHH!!!!" and ran away!!!!

AND I ran to my mommy and said, "THANK YOU MOMMY!!!"

I was SO NERVOUS! My 1st Audition!

"#4 is Stella Kim"

I was #4...

OMG... Oh no~ it's so early!

It was my FIRST audition!
My first audition for a musical team.

I didn't think I was going to dance because I'm not flexible,
but I do sing a little~~~  ^_-  hehehe~

BUT! I still tried for Team Genesis because I wanted to be flexible
and if I practice, I will be better!

20 MINUTES LATER...

Sister Rachel Lee said, "#4! Stella! Come to the library!"
I thought..."Oh, NO!!!!"
So I went to the library and stood on the stage.

For my audition, I sang a song "Xiao bai chan'' in Chinese.
I thought I did a great job!

But suddenly, Tr. Eunice said to DANCE!!!!
She turned on the music...

I danced.

I think I was not bad, but I will practice more and more.
I will become a great dancer and singer for God, my family, and Team Genesis!

My First Basketball Game

"OH!!!!!!! My nose!!!!!"

It was my first basketball game and my nose was broken...

Since it was my first game, I was very nervous because maybe I will get hurt or lose the game.
I was feeling a little bad...

I woke up at 7 am, so I felt a little tired,
but I ate my mom's yummy breakfast!

Our team was warming-up at 10:30 am,
practiced shooting for 30 minutes and the game started at 11 am!

First time in the game, I had fun, but very hot!
BUT! I had a hard time later because I was tired.
This was my first game, so I was so hot and sleepy.
BUT! I didn't give up because this was my first game!

At the last game, I was trying to catch the ball, but the ball
came to my face....!!!
There was a little pain, but I still played the game!
After the game, I touched my face and my nose was in pain!
I went to the hospital...

I learned how to be careful and always take good care of
my body. I will not give up!

Our team won 3rd place! Good game everyone!

Basketball...

I wanted to learn basketball.

I wanted to learn basketball because I like to play with balls.
I saw Super Junior's basketball academy because of my friend, Limmy.
Limmy got basketball game tickets for us.
So we saw the basketball game and it was fun!
Basketball game is fun because the POINTS go up and down!

I went to my mom and said, "Mom! I want to learn basketball!"
My mom said, "Okay, I will talk to Limmy's mom."

One week later...

My mom said that she found the basketball academy!
I went the basketball academy and practiced for the first time.
It was so fun because we have game days.

When I put on my uniforms and basketball shoes I feel excited
and happy because I have my own special uniform with my name and number!
It says, "Kim Gyu Rin" and "15".
I choose the number 15 because my favorite basketball player is Ricardo Powell
and his number is 15!!!!

I will have fun playing basketball games!

P.S. I am the ONLY girl!!!!

ONE more swimming competition!

After Rally's swimming competition,
I had another swimming competition.
This time, I swam two times: free-style and breast stroke.
Guess what?!?!

I got 2nd place two times!
2nd place for free-style and 2nd place for breast stroke!
I was very happy because I did my best!
My trophy and award will come to my elementary school.
I will give my trophy to my MOM!
I will say, "Thank you and I love you mom!"

This competition was very fun because my grandfather and aunt
came to see me. ALSO, my school principal came to my competition!
I am so lucky!

I will do my best and NOT give up!
I will have fun and always say, "Thank you" to my mom and dad.

(I'm in the middle!)

The New Swimming Contest "Rally"

Last Saturday, I woke up at 5 AM because I had to practice for 1 hour for my swimming contest.
Then I ate breakfast at 7 AM.
After my breakfast, I had to warm-up my body!

At 8 AM, I went to lane 3 and did backstroke within 49 seconds! But sadly, I came in 4th place out of 7 swimmers.

At 2 PM, I went to lane 7 and did breast stroke within 54 seconds! I was 5th place out of 7 swimmers!

The swimming contest was hard because the swimming pool was longer and bigger.
It was my first time to compete in Rally's swimming contest!
It was a good time for me because I saw other good swimmers. They made me feel to do better next time!

Next Rally's swimming contest I will be #1!!!!!!!!

San Francisco Tour

I went on a San Francisco tour and it was very good!
The best thing was the cable car because in Korea,
cable cars go up, but in San Francisco,
cable cars go on ground.
I think San Francisco's cable car is better!

It was very fun because the cable car had NO windows,
NO doors, and NOOOOO seat belts!

I felt like I was flying because it was an OPEN cable car!
I was not scared because it was a big cable car
and it went up and down!

When you ride the cable car,
you can see San Francisco City.
It was an exciting time because it was my first time!
I want to ride the cable car AGAIN!
