Disco Pang Pang

Disco Pang Pang on water!

What's that you ask?

Disco Pang Pang is very famous ride in Korea.
People go up and down, up and down.
Well, on June 6, 2015, my family went to Nami Island.

It was really fun because of all the rides and delicious food!
My favorite ride was the Disco Pang Pang because
it goes up and down with the wave.
It was so exciting!

Another exciting thing was riding the Wakeboard!
The speed was really fast, but I wasn't scared.
Why?!?!!
Because I LOVE WATER!!
Anything that has water, I love it!

My mom made mini-Kimbab, so we ate
with chicken nuggets, watermelon, and Korean melon.
They were really delicious~~~
Especially when you are hungry!!!

I want to go again with Tr. Eunice!!! :)
Then I will go with Team Genesis~

Have a cool summer everyone!!!

To the man who can change the world (Part 2)

Currently, I am studying 3 languages: English, Korean, and Chinese.
My favorite language is English because I learned English the fun way.
I love to talk, so my dream is to become a CNN anchor.

My favorite sports are swimming and basketball.
I began swimming in Korea when I was 6 years-old,
but I learned basketball for the first time in San Jose, CA.
My friends, Mia and Hannah were playing basketball
and it looked really fun!
So when I came back to Korea, I joined the basketball team
and I was the ONLY girl! :)

Like I said before, I am the youngest ambassador in Ivy Global Mission.
There are couple of things I need to do in I.G.M.
But the most important work is for me to help the children in need.
Last month, I.G.M. members and I.G.M. Team Genesis went to Ansan and Xiu Yan, China to meet our scholars and their families. This was my second time to visit and I had the best time there.
However, I realized there was something that I must do for them as an ambassador.
I want to tell you about An Xiu Xi Wang Xiao Xue, an elementary school in Am Ahan’s Xiu Yan. Xiao xue means elementary school, but if the school is called “xi wang xiao xue” it means that the students and their families are very poor.

I really love this school because the students were so kind and bright!
They are living in difficult situations, but they always smile!
I wanted to do something for them, to make them smile brighter.

As we toured the school, we saw that there was only one old, very, very old computer in this school. I never used an old computer before, but it was obvious that it was really, really old.
This old computer was for the principal and he couldn't even use because it didn't work well.

Money is very important because you could buy everything that you want.
But money isn't always that meaningful and powerful.

So, I would like to donate computers to this school.
Not only one computer, but more than 20 computers!
But, there was no way I could do that.

Then I thought, if I need to buy clothes, I go to a fashion store.
If I need food, I need to go to the market.
Well, this time, I need computers, so I need to go to the computer store.
So, I choose YOU! Your company!
I hope I didn't sound rude.
But, Mr. Cook, if you have computers to spare,
do you think you can help the students at An Xiu Xi Wang Xiao Xue? Please?

My name or what I did is not important at all. I just want these bright kids to have a better education. My parents support and love me, so I'm happy and satisfied.
This project is not about me or anyone else, but for my friends there.

If you can kindly help, please, let me know.
Even if you can't, I understand because you have a position as a CEO.

I appreciate your time, Mr. Cook.
wish you great health and happiness!

Sincerely,

Stella Gyurin Kim

To the man who can change the world (Part 1)

Dear Mr. CEO Tim Cook,

My name is Gyu-Rin Stella Kim.
I am 9 years-old Korean girl, who lives in Incheon, South Korea.
Did you visit Korea before?
You probably did because you are so popular.
I visited Silicon Valley, California 2 times with my friends and teachers!
I love it there~~
I think you are there? Well, that's what my teacher said.
I know you are a very busy man, but I would be thankful if you can read my letter to you.

I don't know a lot about computers or smart phones, but I do know that your company is really
big and my parents and family members ALL use iPhone.
I also saw my teachers using Apple laptops, the Apple logo is everywhere!
This was how I knew your company was not small.

To tell you a little bit about me,
I am the youngest ambassador and member at Ivy Global Mission.
