Dear Me國(미국),

"저 여기가 (미국) 너무 익숙해요..."

자주 와봐서 그런가보다ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

오늘! 미국 도착 다음 날, 나는 함께 온 박경수 목사님과 Tr. Eunice와 모여 미팅을 가졌다.

폰과 노트북에 대한 원칙을 정하기 위해서였다.

나는 이 원칙이 유학생활 전체를 결정 지을 수 있을 정도로 매우 중요한 원칙이라는 생각이 들었다. 

게다가 이것은 나만지키는 것이 아니라, 

목사님과 Tr. Eunice도 함께지키는 원칙이였다.

#1: 폰은 밤 9시에 끄고, 아침 예배 이후에 켠다!

#2: 노트북은 방으로 가지고 들어가지 않고, 거실 등과 같은 Public Space 에서만 한다!

유학생들이 유학에 실패하는 이유가 폰하고 노트북으로 너무 많은 시간을 빼았겨서 그런거 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었다. 

그래서 "오늘부터 바로 올바른 습관을 가지자!"해서 오늘 미팅 후에 폰과 컴퓨터에 대한 원칙을 정하게 되었다.

아빠, 엄마의 소중한 돈을 헛되게 쓰고 싶지는 않다. 

나는 유학 생활 내내, 이 원칙을 지키며 살 수 있게 해달라고 하나님께 기도했다.

이 원칙을 내 삶 속에서 반드시 실현시키고 싶다.

야고보서 3:13

"여러분 가운데 지혜롭고 분별력있는 사람이 누구입니까? 

선한행실을 통해 지혜에서 나오는 온유함으로 자기의 행위를 보이십시오"

"This place seems so familiar to me!"

only because I came here (U.S.) so often.

Today, this morning (the day after arriving in the United States), Pastor James, Tr. Eunice, and I had a meeting.

The topic was to set the NEW policy for my phone and laptop usage.

I thought this was a very important policy because it could determine my future life as an international student.

This policy is not just for me to keep, but for Pastor James and Tr. Eunice as well. 

It is a rule that we MUST keep together.

Here are the rules:

#1: Phones MUST be turned off at 9 p.m. EST, and turns back on after morning worship!

#2: Laptops can't be used in private rooms, but only in public spaces like the living room or the dining room!

My thought as an international student:

I think the reason why many international students fail when studying abroad is that they spend too much time on their phones and laptops.

So, "Let's adapt to the right habits right now!"

Starting from today, we will set the policies for our phones and computers.

I don't want to waste my dad and mom's precious money.

After the meeting, I prayed to God to allow me to live up to these policies as an international student.

I know I can't do it on my own, but through God's Words and the help of the Holy Spirit, I can overcome these daily temptations wisely. 

Please pray for me in Jesus's mighty name!
