2015 Talent Show at Buma Elementary School

Few weeks ago, I had my 2nd school talent show. It was very fun, but I was a little nervous.
Why was I nervous?
Because everyone looked at me when I walked in! Ahhh~~~

This year, I presented my Chinese skill to my Buma friends, teachers, and parents. There were many people taking pictures and videos of me. That was why I was nervous.
Thank GOD! I only made one tiny mistake, so it was not bad. I was happy when my Chinese speech was over.

I want to thank my friend, Ju-Eun Choi, for helping me. When I spoke Chinese, she read my speech in Korean. I did this because I wanted everyone to understand my speech. My Chinese speech was about my future dream. As you know, I want to become a CNN anchor, so I am preparing my life to be successful. Please cheer me on as I keep working
hard.

I also played the recorder with my friends: Chae-Eun Jung, Na-Young Lee, and Seung Hae No. It was really fun because I got to practice and perform with my best friends. It became one of my great memories with my best friends. I hope we can do another talent show as 5th graders. This is because next year will be 'Sports Day'! So my dear friends, let's try to be in the same class.

Thank you Mrs. Hae Kyung Kim for decorating our class and making 2015 talent show awesome! You are a wonderful, sweet, kind, and amazing teacher. I will miss you very much!

My dear Dad and Mom, thank you always for loving and supporting me. You were busy, but you still came and cheered me on. You are the BEST Dad and Mom! I love you sooooo much!

Justin's First Challenge

My brother, Justin, is 5 years old (Korean age) and he is really active.
He loves to move around a lot! Every time I see him, he is running or jumping!
Well, last weekend, Justin did something new and fun!
He skated for the first time in his life.

When he saw the skates, the first thing he said, "What's this?"
So I said, "Ice skate shoes!" Then he said, 'What's skate?"
Hahahaha~ It was so funny! Justin was surprised to see a different kind of shoes,
especially on ice. He had seen inline skating, but never ice skating.
So it was really new for Justin!

Our family went to the ice rink and we all skated together.
My dad, mom and I didn't fall down at all, but Justin fell down five times.
I was so proud of him because he never cried!
He is now a big boy.

Justin fell in love with ice skating, he asked my parents if he can go again.
My dad loves to skate that's why Justin loves to skate, too.
Like father, like son.

After skating, we ate Korean pork BBQ at home and it was delicious!
Justin ate 3 bowls of rice! He was really hungry because of all the energy that he used...
after dinner, he fell asleep...

I was really surprised because I thought Justin would cry, but he didn't cry at all.
Also, even when he fell down, he didn't even show a tear (other kids cried a lot).
He is a big and healthy boy. I love you, Justin!

"Loving Dokdo Island" Swimming Competition 2015

Sunday, November 15, 2015, after church, my dad and I went to my last swimming competition
for 2015. The reason for this swimming competition was to support Dokdo Island.
As you know, Korea is fighting Japan because of Dokdo Island.
Japanese people say Dokdo is Japan's island, but Koreans say Dokdo is Korea's!
Right now, Korean soldiers are protecting the island, so it belongs to Korea.

So, the event or fundraiser was called "Loving Dokdo Island" Swimming Competition.
Anyone could swim and enjoy this competition, so I decided to swim for it.
There was a fee to swim for this event, so my parents paid for me.
(Thank you mom and dad! <3)
However, all the money went to Dokdo Island, so that we could continue to protect it!
I am happy that I participated in this event.
I also feel very proud to help Korea!

I had a great result, thanks to God and my parents,
I came in 3rd out of 7 swimmers for individual race.
I also had a team relay with my friends and
we did our best, so we came in 7th place.
We will have a better score next time!

Through this event, I realized how important Dokdo Island was and as a Korean,
I must protect and love my country.
The 1st place winner got to go to Dokdo Island for a week.
Next time, I will go!

Please pray and support our Dokdo Island!

P.S. It's snowing!!!!! Please enjoy the snow and stay safe!

IGM Team Genesis's Music & Bible Camp 2015

Last month, IGM Team Genesis went to Imjin River to shoot a music video.
It was my first time there and it was cool to see North Korea from South Korea.
I saw North Korea this year from China, Yuale River, but seeing from South Korea was
very different. We are on the same side, but so far.
It's very sad.

(Where am I? Which letter?)

After Imjin River, we went to Paju Jeja Christian Center.
It was a very big and awesome place!
Team Genesis stayed there 1 night 2 days, I wish we could stay there longer.
The theme of this camp was "Jesus, Fill Me Up!"
There are many great things in our lives, but the greatest thing is to know Jesus.
We prayed, worshiped, and read the Bible to know more about Jesus Christ.

IGM Team Genesis praising God!

We love to praise GOD!

Here is a preview of our 3rd MUSIC VIDEO!!

Here is a sneak peak of our 4th MUSIC VIDEO!!

My most favorite time was praying and reading the Bible with my team W.W.J.D.
W.W.J.D. means "What Would Jesus Do?"
Whenever I need to decide about something and I'm confused,
I ask myself, "W.W.J.D.?"
Then I will find the answer to my question.

My team W.W.J.D. read the Bible, then recorded the Bible with my voice.
This was very cool! We are going to make a CD that has all of our voices.
So, our parents can listen to the Bible in the car!

My team W.W.J.D. was the loudest team!!!

Through this camp, I learned that I must obey Jesus and my parents.
I tried to do it, but it is harder than I thought because I'm not perfect.
This is why I need JESUS to fill my life every day.

I hope I can obey a lot and live for God.
I can't wait until our next music video in America
and our music camp!
Please pray for us!
God bless you all!!!

Finally, IGM Team GENESIS's Music Video #2 is OUT!

Please watch the M.V. in HD 720p

Hello families, friends, and bloggers!
I hope you are healthy and happy this cool fall season.
Next week is Thanksgiving Day, I wish your family and friends will be thankful for all the wonderful people and things in your lives. I am thankful for many things: God, loving parents, cute brother, wonderful grandparents, lovely aunts and cousins. I have so many things to thank God. Thank You, God!

This time, I am extra excited because IGM's Team GENESIS's second music video is finally OUT!!!!! YEAH~!!! My team and teachers worked REALLY hard to film this video. This time, the title of our song is "One Way, Jesus!" It means there is only one way, one truth, and one life for people and that is by believing in Jesus Christ. I believe in Jesus and I want to live for Him. Team GENESIS hopes that you will be blessed and feel the love of God through this music video.

To make this music video, it took us 7 months to make it. We first went to China (Dandong and Dalian), Incheon (Ara Canal and Cheongna Central Park), and Paju (Imjin River). We had a great time filming and dancing for God. We only dance and praise for God. I hope you will praise God, too. I want to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. James for making this awesome music video. Also, Tr. Kathy and Tr. Eunice for directing and leading us EVERYWHERE and EVERY TIME.
Also, all the Team Genesis's Parents for supporting and praying for us. We are a very, very good and happy team.  As we get ready for our next- 3rd music video, please pray for my team and teachers. We are going to have another AWESOME music video. So please support us! God bless you all!

Ivy Global Mission (TEAM GENESIS) Music Video at Ara Canal, Incheon

My Team Genesis went to Ara Canal because we had to film "One Way Jesus" music video.
This was our second time filming for this song.
We were very excited because we got to ride the ferry for the first time!

Ara Canal is in Cheongna, Incheon.
It is a very nice place with a park, lake, restaurants, and the dock to ride the ferry.
If you have the time, you should visit here with your family!

We have been filming this music video since May, when we went to Dandong, China.
We are doing our best to show Jesus through our dance, praise, and passion.
Right now, Dr. James is making the film and we are very happy to see the music video
come out very soon! I think "One Way Jesus" music video will be better than "Happy Day!"
Please watch our music video!

God Bless You all~ <3

My First Visit to a Law Firm

I had a wonderful chance to visit my aunt Kyung Jin Lee.
She is a lawyer working at Barun Law in Seoul.
I was very proud of her because she looked COOL and AWESOME!

This was my first time visiting a law firm, so everything was new and amazing!
The building was really big with many offices.
There was my aunt's office, other lawyers' offices, and many meeting rooms.
It was my first time seeing a lot of offices!

But the biggest surprise was...
PAPERS!
LOTS and LOTS of PAPERS!
My aunt's desk was filled with PAPERS!
In the meeting room...filled with PAPERS!
In aunt's pocket... PAPERS!!!

I wonder why lawyers use a lot of papers?
I think teachers use a lot of papers, too!

Well, I never saw that much paper in my life.
We need to plant more trees! Hahahahaha~  :)

After the tour, we went out for dinner!
YEH~~!!!!!
Aunt Kyung Jin bought me 70,000 won steak!
Thank you very much, aunt!
The steak was very delicious, so I knew it was expensive~
I am so lucky to have a lawyer aunt!

Aunt Kyung Jin, thank you for taking your time and buying me delicious dinner.
I will repay you when I am older~~! Hehehe~^^
I will buy you $100 steak!
Stay healthy and be happy!

P.S.
Thank you mommy for taking me to see aunt!
I love you sooooo much!

A Special Wedding

On October 4, 2015, IGM Team Genesis had a very special performance at a church.

It was TEAM Genesis's first WEDDING performance!
We performed at many churches, but never for a wedding.
So, when I heard that I will sing at a wedding, I was so excited!
I practiced a lot, so I was the first person to memorize the whole song!
I really had a fun time memorizing the song!

This wedding was extra special because the bride was Japanese and she didn't know how to speak Korean at all.

She lives in Japan, so she only came to Korea by herself.
None of her family or parents came to Korea, so she was all alone on her special day.
That's why we sang the special song in Japanese, just for her!

We wanted to make her feel very special, so my team sang "당신은 사랑받기 위해 태어난 사람" in Japanese and Rachel played the piano.

The wedding ceremony was only in Korean, so the bride didn't understand.

But when we sang the song in Japanese, and each of us handed a pink rose, the bride was moved to tears.
She was moving her head up and down, smiled, and hugged every one of us.
I think she did that because she understood why we were singing this song.
Also, she was trying to thank us through her smile.

I had the best time at the wedding.

My friends Rachel, Lina, Claire, Sally M., Sally K., and Sally L. all had a great and special time together.
We thank God for giving us a chance to learn a Japanese song and perform at a special wedding.

If you need a special performance by IGM Team Genesis!

Please let us know!
We will love to help and make you feel very SPECIAL!
God bless you all~

A Special Trip to SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System)

I want to thank my lovely dad for giving me the best memory and time! I love you so much, DAD!

My dad's friends works at SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System),
so his friend invited me to tour SBS and meet wonderful people there.
I met Sang-Ook Pyun and Hae-Seung Lee.
They are the main anchors for the 8 pm News.
It was awesome!!!!!

The tour was really fun because the studio was really big
and there were a lot of things going on.
I saw a lot of cameramen and staff at the studio.
They were very busy because of the 8 PM news.

I was very special because I went inside the studio.
Anyone can't go inside, but thanks to my dad and his friend,
I went inside! I also got to touch those expensive cameras.
I felt very special!

I want to thank my dad's friend for the special invite.
I hope you and your family will be healthy and happy.
Also, thank you dad for always thinking of me
and taking me to special places.
I love you sooooo much, Dad!!! <3

My Family at the Ara Canal

Last Saturday, my family (dad, mom, aunt, Olivia, Justin, Jeewon)
 went to Kimpo, Ara Canal.

My family was excited because it was our first time going as a family.
We went in the afternoon and first thing was riding the motorboat.
It was really fun because it was fast and I love how the wind blew!

Next, we rode the kayak.
This was my favorite time because Olivia and I got to paddle by ourselves!
It was our first time, so it was exciting!
(We didn't see any fish, but saw lots of seagulls!)

Then, my family went to a buffet restaurant and ate a lot of food!
My brother, Justin, ate more than me! He ate 4 dishes, but I ate 3 dishes!
Justin will grow very tall!
My favorite dish was japchae, it was very delicious
You can't forget the dessert!
I got chocolate shave ice cream~~ Yummy~

Last, our family's favorite time was shopping!
It was called "eye-shopping" because we didn't buy anything...
Everything was so expensive, so we just passed by.
But, it was still very fun because we were together!

I hope all of us can go again, but also with my grandparents and younger aunty, Hye-Young!
I pray that everyone will be safe and healthy.
God bless you all!

D-D-D-D-D-D-R-U-M-S

Thank you for cheering me on, everyone!
I'm very happy to have great people in my life!! :)
I will do my best and always be humble.

For the first time, I'm learning how to play the drums!
I started my first lesson last week and it was very fun.
I love the beat and I feel so cool~

I had a strong feeling that I had to play the drums and looked so cool!
But the most important reason was...
I wanted to play the drums for GOD!
My church needs another drummer and I want to be the 2nd drummer.
So, I told my mom that I wanted to play and my mom said, "Okay! I will ask
Tr. Kathy!" (What a wonderful mommy! <3)

The first week was easy, but this week was hard because
I have to learn different beats. The beats are confusing!!!
But it's okay because I need to practice a lot.
I can do it!!
I hope I get better and GOD will be happy when I play the drums in the church.

Thank You God for helping me.
Thank you daddy and mommy for supporting me.
Thanks everyone for writing lots of comments!

God bless you all!! <3

P.S.
I will show you my drumming skills veryyyy soon!
